Alpha Numeric Series Involving Three Series

Alphanumeric Series Involving Three Series : Alphanumeric sequence is a sequence which consists of both alphabets and numbers. In this sequence, we can also add some symbols along with alphabets and numbers. For example we can make an alphanumeric sequence as follows − A $ E R 9 * T 5 F 6 @ D 8. In this type of Alphanumeric Series, the question will consis of three (3) different series for each character. We have to find out the series separately for each character and to get the answer accordingly. Let us try some examples.

Example : What will come in place of the question mark (?) in the following series?

N5V, K7T, ?, E14P, B19N

(1) H9R                          (2) H10Q                     (3) H10R                  (4) I10R

Answer: (3)

Explanation : In this question, the first series progresses from right to left..

Koverset{Skip;2}{leftarrow}Hoverset{Skip;2}{leftarrow}Eoverset{Skip;2}{leftarrow}B

The second series progresses from left to right.

5overset{+2}{rightarrow}7overset{+3}{rightarrow}10overset{+4}{rightarrow}14overset{+5}{rightarrow}19

The third series progresses from right to left.

Voverset{Skip;1}{leftarrow}Toverset{Skip;1}{leftarrow}Roverset{Skip;1}{leftarrow}Poverset{Skip;1}{leftarrow}N

Therefore, the correct combination is H10R.

Example : Complete the series: A5, C7, E9, G11, I13, ?

(1) J14                   (2) K15                  (3) K16               (4) M15

Answer: (2)

Explanation : Aoverset{skip;1}{rightarrow}Coverset{skip;1}{rightarrow}Eoverset{skip;1}{rightarrow}Goverset{skip;1}{rightarrow}Ioverset{skip;1}{rightarrow}K

5overset{skip;2}{rightarrow}7overset{skip;2}{rightarrow}9overset{skip;2}{rightarrow}11overset{skip;2}{rightarrow}13overset{skip;2}{rightarrow}15

Example : In the following question, a series of letters and numbers is given, the terms of which follow a certain definite pattern in groups. However, some terms in the series are missing, which aew given in the same order as one of the alternatives bwloe the series. Choose the correct alternative.

Z_25 Y B 23 X C _ W _ 19 _  E 17

(1) A, 21, D,   V                            (2) A, 27, C, V               (3) X, 21, C, W                   (4) X, 27, F, W

Answer: (1)

Explanation :

First SeriesZYXW?
Second Series?BC?E
Third Series2523?1917

In the first series, ? will be V as the complete series would be V, W, X, Y, Z

In the second series, the series would be A, B, C, D, E

In the third series, the series would be 25, 23, 21, 19, 17

Thus answer is (1) i.e. 'A, 21, D, V.'
